Brow Lift Plastic Surgery

A perfectly arched eyebrow is something that everyone yearns for. Brow lift plastic surgery is recommended for people who have too low or too straight eyebrows. An eyebrow lift helps to enhance the beauty of your eyebrows. Brow lift plastic surgery can be broadly classified into two types. These are endoscopic brow lift surgery and classic brow lift surgery. The post operative scars are hidden under the hair line.

Surgical Procedure of Brow Lift Plastic Surgery

Brow lift plastic surgery is performed after the application of a local anesthetic. In classic brow lift surgery, an incision is made along the hair line. The incision is made to extend to both of the ears. The skin of the brow area is lifted and trimmed. The wounds are sutured with surgical clips.

Endoscopic brow lift surgery is preferable if you are going bald and do not have a hair line. Five small incisions are made on the scalp extending up to the ear. An endoscope is inserted through each of the incisions to help the surgeon identify the areas of excess fat and tissues and remove them with his scalpel. The wounds are closed of with surgical screws.

It is advisable not to wash your hair for up to two weeks after the operation.

Risks of Brow Lift Plastic Surgery

Swellings and itching that occur after the operation generally disappear in a few days. Some of the more complicated risks involve bleeding, hematoma and damage to nerve cells. Other post operative risks like delay in the healing of wounds and skin infections can be cured by medications.
