Traditionally ledum oil was used as a cure for almost every ailment. This is one of the ancient folk medicines that has been in use for 5000 years. Native North Americans used it to fight the symptoms of scurvy.

It was used for treating colds and fever by the Cree.

Termed as Greenland moss or Labrador tea, the oil is extracted from the ledum groenlandicum plant Steam distillation is the process employed for extraction of oil. The plant is originally a native of North America.

  • Don't use the oil in sensitive areas like eyes.
