Acne is one of the most common skin problem and there are many myths that are linked with the causes of acne. Most of the teen agers and young adults tend to suffer from acne as the body experiences lot of changes. Common Acne Myths
- Poor hygiene causes acne: This is one of the most common myths about reasons of acne. Many parents tell their teen agers that accumulation of dirt and dust causes acne. They even state that kids and children who don't suffer from acne are very clean. So, sometimes teen ager and young adults wash their face aggressively and skin suffers from damages. But scientifically blackheads occurs as dead skin cells accumulates over the surface of the skin and clogs the pores. The best way to clean the face is to wash it off with some good cleanser or face wash and pat dry. You can apply anti-acne medication after that.
